What are you giving up for Lent?

This year, 2018, Lent begins on February 14, and covers the 40 days before Easter, commemorating the 40 days and 40 nights that Jesus Christ spent fasting and enduring temptation from Satan in the desert.

During Lent, Christians commit to fasting and abstaining from certain foods, habits or other vices. This often involves chocolate, sugar, or smoking, but what else could it mean?

This Lent, why not give up…

  • Judging others
  • Gossiping
  • Worrying
  • Rushing through your prayers
  • Not trusting fully in God
  • Hypocrisy
  • Avoiding responsibilities
  • Laziness
  • Passive aggression

…and this list can go on and on.

Furthermore, after Lent and Easter have passed, how about continuing to give them up?
